What were Napoleon Bonaparte's accomplishments?

Answer:
Strengthened the central government through his laws, set up an efficient method of tax, set up government-run public schools, signed a concordat, & set up the Napoleonic code.

In November 1799, Napoleon became first consul. In 1802, he was made consul for life and two years later, emperor. He defeated the Austrians at Marengo in 1800.

His greatest military error was the disastrous invasion of Russia in 1812. Other than that, he successfully prosecuted military campaigns twice against the combined powers of Europe.
