Deplorable. Rampant worker abuse, long hours, no safety programs, unsafe machinery, no worker's comp, the use of child labor, long hours, little pay, etc, etc. Workers were cogs in a machine, not human beings. This is the reason why we need collective bargaining in the labor force. Lincoln once said that labor was a more important piece than capital, and needed special consideration.
Bad.They were unsafe and many fires were started and many people were killed/injured. Many children worked in them
the mines were hot and stuffy and they were dangerous because people had to carry stuff on their back so it was quite dangerous aswell x
dangerous and exhausting of course i'd be dead tired if i had to do every thing by hand!!!><
I FEEL BAD FOR THE SLAVES BACK IN THE 1800's :(
Living conditions for factory workers in the late 1800s were horrid. Many people had gotten injured from the machines that they worked on and were not treated. Some lossed body parts.

The US wasnt too far advanced yet in the early 1800s. Most of the advancements in the early 1800s like anaestesia, and antiseptic surgery were done by Englishmen and other advancements like germ theory was put forth by the frenchman Louis Pasteur.

The conditions were very bad indeed! We had conditions were like this because people from England had brought them here and a lot of very bad ones lived in England that had travelled to Australia.
When cities became industrialized, many people moved from the South and rural areas to find jobs. In the 1800s industrialized cities were overcrowded. They had many factories, retail stores, warehouse facilities, and offices. By the late 1800s noise and pollution were becoming a problem.

The conditions were not agreeable at all. Drugs (especially depressants like opium) were used quite frequently to manage patient behavior. Also, supplies such as food and blankets were substandard quality.
the conditions were terrible many englanders wanted freedom but then the speech that jacjon made overcame the fear of factories of little kids
