∙ 13y agoThe US officially entered WW2. first thing they did was bomb Hiroshima and another city (Nagasaki) with the atomic bomb. Only one poblem. When they bombed Pearl Harbor they bombed our soldiers. We bombed their innocent people. America then apologized, but we were still at war. there are documentaries on people talking about it nowadays.

First, the Allies, not just the US, ENDED the war by bombing the port cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki ! If they had not, the Allies would have had to invade Japan, and in fact were just about to when the bombs were dropped. Had the Allies invaded Japan, many, many more than the number of dead Japanese from the bombs would have died in the invasion. Of course, there would have been many, many more Allied soldiers killed and injured, as well.
As far as killing innocent civilians is concerned, the year of fire bombing Tokyo and other major cities resulted in a number of Japanese civilians killed far more than the A-bomb did.
To answer your question, the consequencses of the Pearl Harbor attack were the loss of great numbers of Japanese and Chinese soldiers, and a large number of casualties among the Allied soldiers. Another consequence is that the US learned to be vigilant and not let a nation sneak up and bomb them again.
As for the consequences to Japan, they were occupied by the Allies, and not allowed to build an offensive military again.
