In 1858, observed cells dividing under the microscope & deducted that ALL cells come from other living cells. Who ever put this answer was completely wrong.
He helped contribute to it because he was examing the inside of the cork also known as the cell walls. He couldn't figure out what a real cell looked like because the cork cells were all dead.
Hooke was the first to see and describe the concept of a "cell" in a piece of cork. Leeuwenhoek was the first person to use a microscope to see single celled organisms that he called "animalcules" which today we just refer to as microbiotic life
cell was discovered by robert hooke in 1665. he observed the cell in a cork slice with the help of a primitive microscope.the cork slice resembled the structure of a honey comb consdisting of small compartments . hooke called these boxex cells. cell in latin means a small room.
He was a Dutch naturalist who made his own light microscope and used it to discover living cells for the first time.He observed microorganisms in pond water under his microscope and called them animalcules.
Anton van Leeuwenhoek 's greatest contribution to the development of the cell was his very invention. He invented various microscopes.
