∙ 11y agoInitially it was known as the "Blue Moon Boys" being Bill Black (on bass) and Scotty Moore (on guitar).
In the concert performances, from 1969 until Elvis death in 1977, his band was known as the "TCB Band".

∙ 14y agoWhen he first started out there was just Elvis, Bill Black and Scotty Moore. That was when he was on Sun Records. Elvis played Rythm Guitar on most of his early records.
In 50s and 60s The Jordanaires backed Elvis on most of his songs.
Later on in the 70s he was backed by the 3 girl group The Sweet Inspirations, The Imperials and a group called Voice. Also J D Sumner and Kathy Westmoreland 'The little girl with the beautiful high voice' as Elvis described her.
