Answer

He had three children out of wedlock, Virginia. Maria Celeste born 1600, Livia later Suor Arcangela born 1601, and Vincenzio born 1606. The first two were daughters and the last was his son who was later legitimized. Because of their illigitimacy both girls were sent to a monestary where they lived out their lives

Yes. Kepler was introduced to Barbara Müller, in December 1595, a 23-year-old widow (twice over) with a young daughter, Barbara and Johannes were married on April 27, 1597. In the first years of their marriage, the Keplers had two children (Heinrich and Susanna), both of whom died in infancy. In 1602, they had a daughter (Susanna); in 1604, a son (Friedrich); and in 1607, another son (Ludwig)

Barbara was his first wife, after she died he married Suzanna. He lost three of his kids, with Barbara, and three with Suzanna, at young ages. Read the second link for the names of the surviving ones with Barbara, you will need more research for the other ones. I am reading his romancized biography "THe Harmony of the World" by Marcelo Gleiser; which is really great, except for one or two passages (you are welcome to ask me about it) in relation to his first wife, which I am not sure were Gleiser's or Kepler's, just yet. The book, and Kepler's words, are otherwise, wonderful. (the book is full of his letters and diary). I am still reading it and it is in Portuguese, and not sure it was translated to English just yet. Mr Gleiser is an Astronomy Professor in the US. This book opens a window to Kepler's life in a very interesting manner. Kepler's life through the eyes of Mästlin; and both lives through the eyes of Gleiser.
