What were the repercussions of Israel replacing Palestine on the map?

First thing that must be understood is that the land you are talking about had different names in different times. The native population, Jews and Israelis, call it Eretz Israel, which means "Land of Israel" in Hebrew. The name "Palestine" was given to this area thousands years later by Romans after they quelled the Jewish Bar Kohba revolt that cost Rome thousands of lives of their soldiers who were occupying Judea. About 75% of the geographical area called "Palestine" is where modern Jordan is. Another 13% of Palestine is where Israel, together with Judea and Samaria, is. Southern Lebanon and Soutghern part of Syria are also in Palestine.

So, Israel has not replaced anything on the map, as there was nothing to replace.
