There are about 7-8 births and about 2-3 deaths every second around the world. This leaves us with a addition of 5 individuals every second. In one minute, the world population increases by 5*60 = 300 people. In one hour, 300*60 = 18000. In one day, 24*18000 = 432,000. (About 0.432 million every day)
So in a year, the world population would have increased by 157.68 Million.
Today as I m typing this math, the world population is about 6.67 Billion.
If in a year, the world population would have increased by 157.68 Million, by 2018 the world population would have grown by 1.57 Billion. Which is roughly about 25% increase from todays levels. This is significant. I m in my late 20's and so by 60 years of my age, I would have seen the world population double. This is very fearful to me.
Answering the question of World Population by 2100:
Todays Population = 6.67 Billion
Population increase in 92 years = 9.2 * 1.578 Billion = 14.5176 Billion
Total Population in 2100 = 21.1876 Billion
Supplementary.
Of course the above answer allows only for a mathematical increase in population suggesting for a constant rate of change. The UN's Projections, laid out here:
http://www.un.org/esa/population/publications/longrange2/2004worldpop2300reportfinalc.pdf
Suggests that in the next fifty years to a level of between 10.6 and 8.9 billion people. We can assume that without any crisis there will be an even more dramatic increase in population by 2100.
However the likely hood of population crisis in certain areas of the globe as a strong possibility. Malthusian theory of population does suggest that there must, following conflict for resources, a crash in population. This is observed in the animal kingdom with most animal populations experiencing peaks and troughs in there numbers.
Humans have in the past managed to develop technological and social solutions to the problem of population stress. In 1894 The Times of London suggested that in just 50 years the amount of manure in London would make the streets impassable. (http://www.thefreemanonline.org/columns/our-economic-past-the-great-horse-manure-crisis-of-1894) this of course did not occur. Cities survived partly thanks to technological developments such as motorised public transport.
Social solutions come in the form of the Chinese "one child policy" which, whilst being a barbaric attack on liberty and causing its own crisis crash in the numbers of Chinese female children was an attempt to combat population stress through government policy.
The mathematical population advances fail to take into account socio-political impacts on population change. It does not account, for instance, for the rapidly ageing population in large portions of North Western Europe. (Pocket World In Figures, 2011 Edition, The Economist).
The answer to the question what will the world population be like in 2100 is a very complex one which has eluded the worlds best and brightest and until the year 2100 will not be answered. A purely mathematical answer does not account for the one important factor in this, that the world population is a that of human beings, not microbes on a petri dish.
Any number between 0 and 30 billion are possible. We could be extinct within a matter of years if a sizable meteor hit the earth...or if a new plague hit that we could not find a cure for.
Or if WW3 happens between now and then whatever the population is could easily be cut in half.
People could also as previously mentioned decide to stop or slow the reproduction process.
Did you know to maintain a population every couple needs to have on average 2.4 children!
That means if everyone living on the planet only has two children eventually we will be extinct.
I imagine the .4 comes from adolescent death and infertility.

Jesus Christ, the Apostles, their successors and billions upon billions of Christians the world over promoted The Catholic Faith. The term: "Roman Catholicism" is not a term that The Catholic Church assigns to Herself. There is no "break" in Christ's Universal ("catholic) Church in which a specifically named Roman Catholic Church came into existence. The Catholic Church originated at Pentecost. She is the same Church today (2010) that she was yesterday (33 AD) and that She will be tomorrow (3000 or 4000 or 5000 AD). If the world survives to the year 3000 A.D., The Catholic Church (same one that existed in 33 AD and 200 AD and 500 AD and 1200 AD and 1500 AD, etc) will still be standing -- "prevailing" -- in 3000 AD too.
