You kill the environment. Basically. There are those good Samaritans (like me) that take the time to do the whole Adopt-a-Highway thing and pick up everyone else's garbage but for the majority of the time your trash just sits there on the side of the road. Sometimes animals choke on litter or are impaled on glass bottles (I know because I've seen the corpses) so DON'T LITTER CAUSE YOUR HURTING THEM!!!!!!

A lot of rubbish is nonbiodegradable, and if they're not properly disposed of, then a lot of toxic material will accumulate and create a very unhealthy environment. Also, who wants to live in stinky trash? And it is bad for us, don't you think that's gross

Not much society will always find a way to fix past problems. It's not going to cause the worlds ecosystem to crumble but rather just cause your great-grandchildren to pay more taxes for clean ups. But until then most of your littered trash is picked up by convicts doing community service.
