Nothing - I have a Pacific Coast down comforter and I wash it at least once every 2-3 months. At first I was afraid to wash it, but after I finally did everything was fine. I would just wash it on the gentle cycle and make sure you dry it really good, but not on high heat. If it doesn't get all the way dry the feathers will clump together inside the boxes. I'm sure over time its not great to wash them over and over again, it probably wears them out faster, but once and a while its ok.
Washing is ok. Do not dry clean. Down industry groups recommend washing down comforters.
It won't happen....But would be pretty funny and creepy if it did though!
Yes. About 42% of tornadoes happen at night.
He has a fit because of stress levels.
Fewer new variations would arise.
The best way to wash window screens is to take them off of the window and then scrub them down with a brush using soapy water. Another way would be to use a hose sprayer when the windows are closed and simply spray the screen and windows at the same time.
Getting a comforter cover means that you wont have to wash your comforter as often as you otherwise would have. for people who have down comforters that are dry clean only this can be a god send because it allows them to wash their bedding without a trip to the dry cleaner.
That all depends on the comforter. There should be a tag on the one you have (or will purchase) that lets you know if it is washable. Down Alternative comforters for the most part are washable.
Dry cleaning a down comforter is the practical method. Attempting to wash one at home will lead to the down bunching up in corners or forming lumps elsewhere. The comforter will never thoroughly dry and will smell musty. The damp down can mildew leading to allergies.
It should be drycleaned as to not damage the comforter.
I think you can put any down comforter brand in the washing machine. With mine I used Woolite in the wash and then use dryer balls in the dryer. Usually I lay it out the whole day after cleaning it so it can dry thoroughly. The easiest approach is to get a nice cover for the comforter. You'll be able to wash the cover much easier than the entire comforter.
It will probably be okay to machine wash it as long as you don't use warm or hot water.
A black down comforter will do all the things that any other down comforter will do. A down comforter is a large bed covering that is stuffed with down feathers, making it heavy and warm, especially for cold winters.
It is fine for toddler to use a down comforter. You do not want to let a baby use a down comforter though.
Use your washer an wash it!
