Depending on the length of the wire difference between the shot and long wire, in technical fact the bulb would be brighter if a shorter wire was used, but not that much brighter. Energy is used up as it travels along wires.

If you mean the length of the wire that supplies current to the bulb, the bulb will dim due to increased resistance in the wire, if you make it longer.

resistance is directly proportional to length and inversely proportional to area if more resistance is there more emf is converted to heat energy so the bulb will get dimmer due to less voltage

Why do some wires just have a live and a neutral wire?

The cable to a light bulb (with a plastic bulb holder) in a house, etc, usually has just a live and neutral wire. If a brass or metal bulb holder is used, an earth wire is advised for safety reasons. In the UK, mains power cables and wall sockets are of the three pin types, with the live (bRown wire) to the right, and the neutral (bLue wire) to the left, and the green and yellow striped wire to the earth pin.

Why it is possible to light the bulb even though only one wire is used?

its the light was not appeared but not all are us a bulb to have possible to the light when it is open they conssume to another part that they..

The thin wire in a bulb is called what?

filament

How does the amount of magents and wire affect the brightness of a light bulb?

The brightness of a light bulb directly has no direct relationship with magnets and wire. The bulbs brightness is determined by the wattage of the bulb. The higher the wattage of the bulb the brighter the bulbs light output.

Where do you connect the blue wire on the tachometer for the bulb?

The blue wire is usually just an auxiliary wire. The blue wire does not need to be connected. Tape the end of the blue wire off.

Does a bulb get brighter the shorter the wire?

The Shorter the wire the brighter the bulb ! Because if it is short then it get brighter and the more batterie the brighter the bulb ! Or the lower voltage the brighter the bulb !

Does a light bulb light up faster the shorter the wire?

Yes but as the current travels at the speed of light it would have to be thousands of miles shorter to detect a difference

Which wire used for ordinary light bulb?

In most home wiring circuits, the black wire is used to power a light bulb. The other wire is white and is called the neutral conductor.

What is tungsten wire what is it made up of?

tungsten is a wire used in making filaments of the bulb.

What does mol mean in light bulbs?

MOL refers to MAXIMUM OVERALL LENGTH. MOL is Maximum Overall Length measurement. MOL of bulb is measured from top of bulb to bottom of Bulb base (or bottom of pins.) Exception is if bulb has flexible wire leads, then measurement does NOT include the length of wires. Actual bulb is likely shorter (sometimes much, much shorter) than the MOL industry standard specification.

Will two batteries and a wire make a light bulb light?

first of all, you need a bulb, a wire, and ONE light bulb. You clip the wire on the battery and touch the wire on the bottom of the light bulb

Why does the build with a shorter wire give more brighter than the longer wire?

Because the shorter wire gives less resistance than the longer one and more electricity per inch is distributed to the shorter wire.

Can you use a copper wire to make a filament of an electric bulb?

No, copper wire cannot be used to make the filament of an electric bulb as copper wire has very low resistance. Therefore, the bulb will not glow if current is passed. It would also melt - the filament has to be white-hot to be any use!

What is one thing that you could do to the wire used in a circuit to decrease the amount of resistance bulb by the wire?

Use thicker wire. Doubling the diameter gives one quarter the resistance.

What is a long length of wire coiled up into a shorter length?

A shorter length

Short in your soda machine how do you find it in the harness?

one effective solution is to put the soda machine in series with a 40 or 60 watt light bulb and the power supply. If a short is present the bulb will be bright. Disconnect one wire at a time until the light goes dim the last wire disconnected has the short not scientific but effective

How does a battery make a light bulb work?

If you place an end of a wire on the negative or positive side, put the outer metal part of the light bulb's cap on the other, and place the other end of the wire on the light bulb's cap's inner metal part, it will turn on.TipBefore you try to do this, always check that the voltage of the battery is equal to, or a bit less than, the voltage of the light bulb!Otherwise the light bulb may only give out a very bright flash and could easily be destroyed.
