A lot would depend on the age of the kid.
There are a few facts that should not be missed. Sun (most massive body in the neighborhood and contains something on the order of 99.8% of the total known mass of the solar system) is a star, and is a fusion machine where gravity and fusion are in an equilibrium. It's a big ball of plasma. Planets from closest to farthest are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. Pluto was "demoted" to "dwarf planet" recently. Possibly (probably) because another small dwarf planet was discovered outside Pluto's orbit (which slips inside the orbit of Neptune for a bit on each lap Pluto makes around the sun. The closer the planet is to the sun, the higher its speed of rotation about the sun. Farther away means a slower orbit of the sun. Solar system has been around for billions of years.
Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune are "gas giants" and have small solid cores. The asteroid belt lies between Mars and Jupiter. There are comets on long elliptical orbits from "far out" to close in. Sometimes big space rocks hit the planets or their moons.
It would be a good idea to say a little something about each planet and what it is like as regards mass, surface features, atmosphere, satellites and such.
A link is provided below to get you going. It's to Wikipedia, and they have all the information you could possibly ask for.
i think it would be doing a report on one of the planets in the solar system.
if there were no solar system then there would be no life?
yes otherwise it would not be a solar system yes otherwise it would not be a solar system
we have the solar system because if we didn't then there would be no earth.
I would hope that you are in the same solar system that I am. That would be our sun.
The heart is the star around which the solar system orbits. In our solar system the heart would be our sun
You mean - of THE solar system ?? That would be the sun.
well r solar system is not a man made structure its just not its not created by clouds or anything its created by god and we have a solar system cuz well we just do.
Just think this.....is the solar system did NOT exist then we would not exist.
1) I am learning about the solar system in school. 2) I would love to see the solar system!. 3) Earth is a planet in the solar system. 4) The sun is the biggest star in the solar system.
That would be difficult to explain. -- The Sun IS a star. -- It IS in my solar system. -- It's the ONLY star in my solar system. -- So the sun is THE star in my solar system.
Without gravity in our solar sytem and our universe everthing would float and it would affect our orbit in the solar system
