What would be the problem when the SRS Airbag warning light comes on? |
[Edit] |
Answer
IMO, this is not a DIY repair. Serious injury can occur, or the air bag may deploy prematurely or not at all, if you do something wrong. Take it to a professional to find out why the light is on.

Answer
My SRS light came on after my battery ran low. It requires professional attention, but only cost $40US for a check and reset of the light.
Answer
After the battery went low on my 1996 Discovery, my SRS light came on too. You have to go to the dealeship to get it reset (count closer to $100 though). In my case, another problem surfaced (was I told), one of the connector got wet and they could not reset the light. Not sure where that connector is, but this is probably something you want to look at (as the first answer said, make sure you remove the SRS fuses before fiddling with the system, this is dangerous stuff).
