What would cause a strong fuel smell from the exhaust pipe? |

Be sure there isn't a fuel leak that you may be mistaken for it coming out the exhaust pipe. Is it there when the car is off? IF it is still there, It may burning exceptionally rich (which I doubt), or there may be a misfire and the fuel in a couple cylinders are not burning at all. Try this: Rev engine in drive and hold your foot on the break. It there a roughness to it? Post your response.
