It depends where on the thigh you are talking about. It is very possible it is the pressure point, especially if you feel a small nerve tendon when you apply more pressure.
Without knowing your age or gender, this is not "an answer". Many years ago, I used to get those painful areas very close to the surface and quite painful; usually on the inner surfaces of the thighs. Years later, I was diagnosed with fibromyalga and those pains are not limited to a particular part of the body but they are very much the same. Eventually the pains and extreme sensative areas affecting all different parts of upper body and included muscle weakness and fatigue. This of course is not a diagnosis, the only way to know (maybe) is to consult a physician. Although it took many years (20+) of painful episodes before they decided that I wasn't just a whinny patient before I was diagnosed. I don't believe that medical professionals have much of a clue what fibromyalgia is or what it comes from.
