The left chest ache and pain and/or numbness in the left arm are "classic" symptoms of angina and possible, or impending heart attack. If these symptoms are mild, one should call their doctor's office immediately and discuss. On the other hand, if the pain is severe, especially to the point of causing the inability to walk or stand, or profuse sweating when one normally should not be sweating, the the likelyhood of a heart attack is very great, an one should get to an emergency room as soon as possible! DO NOT ATTEMPT to DRIVE YOURSELF, but get a collegue, a neighbor, or an ambulance. The ambulance is the best option, as if immediate treatment is necessary, it can be done BEFORE arriving at the hospital. If the ache is severe, one option is a heart attack. The patient should get checked soon.
hand numbness is generally caused by lack of circulation. The chest pain could be a number of things, stress or anxiety are causes of chest pain that could feel almost like a heart attack. To play it safe check with your doctor , especially if your family has a risk of stroke of Heart disease.
It usually comes down to one of three reasons; 1) a lack of blood supply flowing to the fingers, or 2) a compression of a nerve somewhere. 3) Diabetic Neuropathy, if your blood sugar is high (are you also drinking and peeing quite a lot?)
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (tehcnically called a repetative stress injury) is a frequent problem aused when we do the same movement over and over and over again. Such as typing or turning a screw driver. It is important to see a doctor about this type of numbness (indeed all numbness) as it can be the sign of something more serious, but even if it is not it is important to get treatment now before it gets any worse. I have had patients who have gotten treatment early and they are cured, I've also had patients who have let it go and every day is an agony for them. Good luck!
There are many reasons for your fingers to go numb. The question is: What else is going on when your fingers go numb? If it happens at the same time your fingertips blanch white, it could be Reynaud's Phenomenon. If your thumb and first two fingers go numb, that's a sign of trouble with your radial nerve. If the last two fingers only go numb, that's trouble with your ulnar nerve. If you have also been drinking and peeing quite a lot, or feeling unusually fatigued and with blurry vision, you may be an undiagnosed diabetic. Your best bet is to see your doctor and let him find out what's going on.
This is a form of carpal tunnel syndrome. Somehow, you are pinching a nerve or nerves in your shoulders or neck. Although it feels like the you have blocked the circulation to one or both arms, a check of the color of your fingernails or the temperature of your hands will reveal that there is no circulation problem. A way to alleviate the problem is to elevate one or both arms on a pillow while sleeping. Stretching and exercising also might help. I have had this numbing and tingling problem on and off for years when I'm sleeping and have found that whenever it starts up again I take "Circulation Blend SP-11B" by Solaray, 2capsules 1 to 3 times a day depending on how severe it is for a few weeks and it goes away for several months before coming back. One can take it always of course to avoid it from coming back. All natural and just helps to circulate blood through the body. Good luck!
Probably nothing to worry about buddy, this is pretty harmless. You've simply been laying on it or holding it in the air or in a certain position too long and the blood flow is restricted. Try rubbing it and moving it around, it will pass in no time.
It may mean that inflammation or bone growth or both is putting pressure on nerves that service that area. this should be checked out because it can lead to muscular waisting irreversible nerve damage if left untreated.
Possibly there is some compression on the ulna nerve either in the neck shoulder or elbow, if the numbness is in the pinkie and up the pinkie side of the ring finger and possibly the part of the hand over those two fingers you may be having a problem with the ulna nerve being compressed somewhere. I would be wise to seek medical treatment for this as it can eventually lead to irreversible damage to muscles and nerves in the arm and hand if left untreated. Even if my guess at the nerves affected is wrong it will best to seek a medical evaluation of your problem for the reasons stated.
spurs on lumbar vertebrae or problems in ulnar nerve
I had the same problem. Diagnosis: sleep apnea (when you stop breathing several times during the night as you sleep).
Fingers alright

It's definitely a transmission problem. Any further analysis will require a bit of hands-on work to determine the cause.
No but could be associated with diseases that cause tremorsAdditional answer:Some of the medications that treat rheumatoid arthritis or other types of auto-immune disorders, may cause shaking hands or even cause neurological problems. There are many benefits to using ski gloves. One of the greatest benefits is protecting the hands from hypothermia. While skiing the cold air will hit against the skin which can cause the hands to go numb and let go of the sticks.

The heated steering wheel will help you stay awake and your hands don't go numb! It is very dangerous to have numb hands because you can't feel ANYTHING and you might not turn quickly.
Numbness would not be a common side effect of Lamictal but we "never say never".
This usually indicates that a person is lying on his hands. After a while, the reduced blood flowing to the hands makes them feel numb.
my son has a 102.2 fever he is 18 years old but his hands and fingers are numb! is that normal?
Its a self defence reaction so the nerves aren't damaged.
Could be thoracic outlet syndrome.
