More than likely you car has 2 flasher relays. One for the turn signals and one for the hazard lights. Replace the turn signal flasher relay.
My 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 only has 1 relay for both turn signal & hazard, but inside the relay are 2 sets of contacts, one for each circuit, the turn signal contacts were burnt, but hazard were ok. still change the relay as your first fix, alot cheaper then a new switch.
Check two things: 1) the fuse for your flashers/blinkers and 2) that the bulbs are good still.
Because the hazard/turn signal relay has failed. A defective/intermittent turn signal switch can also cause this symptom.
either a bulb or the signal flasher relay located on the fuse panel usually opposite the hazard flasher relay
Replace the bulb- There are 2 filaments in this bulb. The brake and flashers work off the same line and the turn signal works off another. If this isn't it, check your fuse box.
The emergency flashers and the signal lights are separate systems. Each has it's own fuse, switch and flasher relay. If your turn signals light up but don't blink I would blame the signal flasher relay.
Blown bulbs not pulling enough current to cause flashers to operate. Check your bulbs...
I have a 2000 olds alero and the signal light only work sometimes, What would cause that?
I believe the flashers are on a separate fuse than the blinkers, that is where I would first start to look, is the fuse box
turn signals and 4 way flashers are on different systems and use different flashers You would want to look for the turn signal relay, try putting on your 4-way hazard flashers so you can here the clicking noise of the relay, they might be under your dash. In my car it was underneath the dash directly in line with the steering column, above the brake pedal.
Assuming that you have checked all your fuses and they are ok, then you may have a short. I found one at my front passenger side signal light, when i turned the bulb holder my bulbs would start working.
Most likely turn signal flasher
do you mean you replaced the bulb? are the flashers out on both sides of the vehicle? did you check both front and back? do the lights on the dash do nothing or come on and stay on? you need to provide this information for a proper diagnosis
