If we did not have our moon there would be no tides on the earth as the moons gravity has a pulling affect on the earths oceans, also some scientists believe the moon has a stabilising affect on the earth if it wern't there the earth would wobble on its axis.
The history of mankind would also be different since early humans relied on the moon to keep track of time.

∙ 12y agothere is a theory that the moon slowed down the earth and that's how we gained the ozone layer water and all that so really what has happened is the moon created the gravity on earth so if it didnt exist no life could be able to be sustained here it would just be a giant rock

Also, scientists believe that the tilt of the Earth's axis of rotation would be less stable.
The night sky would not be as nice, for most people.
The functions of the Moon is:
Keeps away the asteroids from hitting the Earth
Keeping the waves calm
Slows down the spinning of the Earth
Some fictitious characters that needs the Moon, may be hypothetical
Some Gods and Goddesses (I do not believe them but I putted it on for believers) of the Moon may be gone
The Night will be darker
Allows some Animals to breed at Night
(I always look at the Moon and get interest at it) Makes me interest at it
But think of the Moon. Think of it without Gravity, light, and more.
That's how important the MOON is!
