If I were the president of the Philippines, I will do my best to fight corruption because it is the main hindrance of the nations progress. The country is rich in Natural Resources with very industrious and hard working people so progress is not impossible. Along with that, I will try to uplift the standard of education in the country.

Choice would be the Theme. I believe that everyone should have a choice in what they do. If you do not want to wear a helmet when you drive a motorcycle, that's ok? If you do not want to wear a seat belt when you drive, that's ok? The thing is though it is still illegal and you are accountable for your actions. If you choose to drive a motorcycle without wearing a helmet and you get in an accident. Since it is illegal you automatically have No Insurance. You automatically have No Free Government Health Coverage and you do not have the ability to Sue. We have taken away the ability for people to choose and to be accountable for their actions. No one is accountable anymore.

If you are convicted of a violent crime you are not allowed to live within a 1000 km of the family involved when you are released it is a big country. Because they should not have to deal with the memory of the crime that happened by seeing or knowing you are back in the community. Why do we feel the need to protect everyone when they do not want to protect themselves? The lawyers and insurance companies in this country would not like me and I would probably be like Jimmy Hoffa. They would not find my body. We as a culture would have more tax money to be spent on helping people that want help. Making this country and its people better and even more envious in the eyes of the world! The one thing that would hurt everyone is in the realization that we might have let a loved one down, if they where hurt or died from the choice that they made. Another thing that I would change and it seems odd to need to change is that if a crime is committed that the entire length of time would be served in jail. We as a society have put laws in place to help keep others safe. As soon as we started to be flexible towards each case separately and change the length of time served we have shown that some people are more important than others when they have committed a crime. They chose to do this crime in the actions that they took and we need to think with our heads and not our hearts when these people have done their crime. Also people and companies who need a lobbyist to talk to politicians to get more money or influence in politics do not get what they are after. If they need to spend your tax dollars to get what they want they do not get it any tax dollars. The lobbyist would be outlawed in Government.

We the people and the Government have things a little backwards when it comes to people who go to jail and the elderly. If you do a crime you also pay for your time in jail, your assets are frozen so you can pay for that time in jail. So we the people only pay for the people who have no money and no assets when they are convicted of a crime. On the other hand people who have grown old and have no money and no assets have their stay paid for when they are in a nursing home, with full health coverage for them. The elderly should be looked after and cherished for the ability to grow old and to show the rest of us that the choices that they have made in their life might benefit the rest of us. They should not be worrying about what will happen to them when they have no money

A good person should speak up because if you only do the first part of just being a good person you are only half a person. What I have also noticed is after I have explained what I have done and what that person has shown about themselves is that they change for the better, treating everyone else better than they did before. Because someone has spoken up, people start to look inward at them selves and at the word they might have used to answer this question. I put this sign in my car. In one word what makes a good person. Overnight people's attitudes changed for the better. The bullying has decreased towards others, there is no more abuse, the gossip is less and the selfishness has slowed down. At the same time though the people that I have proven one or more of the 6 things about them, is they hate me for the rest of their life. But this is OK they have changed for the better for everyone else.

Personally, I would increase spending on Homeland Security and end the robin-hood-like high tax on high income. Instead, I would replace it with a government charity. also, I'd send more "black ops" into Afghanistan to search for major terrorist leaders. I would try to send money and supplies to third world countries. I would get rid of the death penalty, end abortion, and attempt to create a Union of North America.

There are only so many things a president can do-- a president is not magical, and he (or she) cannot solve all our problems. But if a president could solve our problems, I wish there were an answer to why wealthy lobbyists and corporations seem able to buy our democracy; why the rich get richer; why corporate loopholes mean that some extremely large corporations pay hardly any taxes, while the average working person pays higher rates. I wish we could take money out of politics. I wish there were public financing of elections so that the average person could run for office, and not need to be a billionaire in order to mount a successful campaign. If I were president, I would restore credibility by addressing these matters and making the electoral system more honest. I would also strengthen the separation of church and state, and make sure children in the poorest states have access to as good an education as children in the wealthiest states. I would do all I could to quickly cut the deficit and propose a plan to balance the budget and eventually reduce the national debt . I would look for a way to reduce health care costs and medicare and medicaid payments . I would cut the defense budget and either increase social security taxes or else cut the portion of social security benefits that go to people who have not retired.
