You can use the plus sign or the sum function. So if you wanted to add the values in row 1 that are in cells A1, B1, C1, D1, E1, F1, G1, H1, I1, J1 and K1 you could do it like this:
=A1+B1+C1+D1+E1+F1+G1+H1+I1+J1+K1
or as a better way:
=sum(A1:K1)
Use the SUM function.
EXAMPLE:
If you want to add the numbers in the cells from A1 to M1, you would put the following formula in cell N1: =SUM(A1:M1).
Assume you have a column of numbers ranging from A1 to A20. The formula I would use to total this column (I'm using Libreoffice Calc) would be placed in A21: =SUM(A1:A20). The same procedure to sum a row of cells is the same: =SUM(A1:Z1).
You cannot re-number the actual rows. You could put your own numbers in cells in each row and use them for your purpose, but you cannot change the actual row numbers.
You can highlight the range you want to add and click on the Auto-Sum button.
One method is to highlight the numbers and click the SUM button.

Autosum allows you to quickly add values in ranges of cells. If you have a column of numbers and put the cursor on the cell below them and click the Autosum, it will automatically add the cells above it by highlighting the range into the formula. If you try the same thing at the end of a row, it will add those.
I do not understand what you are asking, but here is a possible response. If you want to insert multiple rows in an Excel workbook, click on the row number after which you would like to insert the blank rows. Then, click and hold to drag down the number of rows you want and insert blank rows.EXAMPLE: You want to add three blank rows between rows 5 and 6.Click on the number five (row header) to the left of row five.Hold down the mouse key and highlight rows 6 through 8 (that will highlight three rows).Go to the section in your version of Excel that inserts rows (in Excel 2007, that is the Home tab, Cells section, Insert -- click on insert cells).Observe that you have inserted three blank cells in your workbook. The old row 6 is now row 9.
