the day Christ was born which was in the beginning of time on December 25th that was the day Christ was born. that is why we celebrate on that day.

Maybe not

No date is given in The Bible for the birth of Christ, and it is argued that the date falls on the Dies Natalis Solis Invicti which was when the Romans celebrated the Feast on the unconquered Sun ( Saturn ). The early Christians being no more than slaves in those times were "allowed" to celebrate on the same day - the 25th of December.

All that aside, Christmas wasn't declared a federal holiday in the States until June 26, 1870. under Ulysses S. Grant when he wasn't busy leading the North to victory over the Confederate South.
