∙ 12y agoWomen where first allowed to vote in the UK on February 6, due to the Representation of the People Act. However it only allowed women to vote if they where over 30 years of age and "occupied premises of a yearly value of not less than £5".
It was not until 1928 that the voting age for women was lowered in line with men.
the women won the right to vote in 1918.
