The answer to that question relies heavily on the particular species of turtle, however, as a general rule turtle species are long lived and late maturing. Most species will mature at roughly 10 years, though this may be less in some species, and upwards of 20 years in others! It also may depending on the environment they are living in. In warmer localities individuals may mature a fee years earlier than those in colder climates.
