As far as I have seen so far, fiberglass lamp shades were made pretty much throughout the Postwar Era, starting sometime in the late 1940's, then through the 1950's when they were most popular, and then into the early 1960's when the last vintage ones were made. Most of them had that classic hand-stitched lacing along the edges and were tied to the wire rims, some were of the classic multi-tiered design (usually two or three tier) which somewhat had represented a wedding cake, while others were the drum type and even some square panels that were placed on TV lamps. They have made a comeback as reproductions in the last few years. Companies reproducing them around the USA, such as Deadly Nightshades, Meteor Lights, Moon Shine, etc., making them the same way like they were some 50 or 60 years ago.
Unfortunately not all lampshades fit every lamp. However there are many lampshade sizing guides online where you can easily find the size you are looking for.
