I don't know about the color of the pill or the lettering, but Oxycodone and Roxicodone, Roxicet and several others are instant release forms of Oxycontin. The "contin" part of Oxycontin means it is a continuous release form of the medicine, which is more powerful than morphine but not as powerful as dialudid. They are extremely dangerous narcotics that can, and have, killed many people over the years. Do not take any of these drugs without a doctor's express permission and knowledge, and then follow directions very, very carefully. Again, these drugs can and have killed people. They are nothing to fool around with.
OxyContin, a trade name for the narcotic oxycodone hydrochloride, is a painkiller available in the United States only by prescription. OxyContin is legitimately prescribed for relief of moderate to severe pain resulting from injuries, bursitis, neuralgia, arthritis, and cancer. @Expresspharmc
Yes, both medications contain the same drug, oxycodone. The only difference between the two is Oxycontin releases the drug slowly over a period of 8-12 hours, and Roxi releases instantly, like Percocet or Vicodin.
Oxycodone is a medication give for severe pain. Dont listen to all the dumb asses who say its OxyContin. ITS NOT. it is the generic form of Percocet.
Yes m 0552 is generic roxycodone 5 mg
No. What you have is immediate release oxycodone. Oxycontin is no different of a substance. The only difference is that Oxycontin is a brand name of the drug, and is controlled released. The generic name for Oxycontin is oxycodone HCL the HCL (hydrochloride) means it releases the medicine slowly into your system over a span of usually 12 hours. That is why people snort, or inject oxycodone as opposed to taking it orally like you are supposed to, so that all the medicine is released into your system. Source, Me 25 year RN
The white Oxycodone 30mg with "P R 30" imprint is produced by Pharmacist's Mutual and is a generic version of the brand-name Roxicodone. The blue 30mg with "V" imprint is produced by Qualitest Pharmaceuticals and is a generic version of the brand-name OxyContin. Both medications contain oxycodone, but may have different inactive ingredients which can affect how they are absorbed and metabolized in the body.
There are any number of round blue pills, each with different imprints on them and strengths. For example, a round blue pill could be Oxycodone Hydrochloride, Alprazolam, Morphine Sulfate SR, Diazepam or Cyclobenzaprine Hydrochloride.
Lortab is the brand name for hydrocodone and acetaminophen (tylenol). Hydrocodone is not the same as oxycodone and oxycodone is much stronger than hydrocodone. Oxycodone drugs include OxyContin, Percocet, etc. So a simple answer, oxycodone is stronger.
Oxycodone metabolizes into oxymorphone. Of all the synthetic opioids, oxycodone is the most difficult to detect, especially at small doses regardless of the advertising propaganda of the labs.
Fluoxetine Hydrochloride 40mg TEVA. Generic: Prozac 40 mg.
Oxycodone doesn't come in 325mg dosages - you're likely using Percocet in generic form. The 325 is the Tylenol level in that drug. The Oxycodone level will be indicated with a 2.5, 5, 7.5 or 10. OxyContin has an 8-12 hour effectiveness, where Percocet only lasts 4-6 hours. So from that OxyContin is going to be the more effective of the two. (depending on the amount of Oxycodone present in each)
It depends on whether you're opiate naive or opiate tolerant. I am opiate tolerant, 20mg of Oxycontin would be insignificant. To my opiate naive grandmother, it could be an overdose, not fatal but symptomatic (nausea, dizziness, etc.)
