Whats wrong with a 24 year old dating a 17 year old? |

If I had to guess, the word 'wrong' was probably used by a parent. From that perspective, you must realize that a parent is usually in that 'protective' mode when it comes to their child deciding to date out of the 'regular-range'. Their use of the word usually comes up during the heat of conversation in anger. Try to keep perspective, if this happens. Remember that they arent trying to hurt you...They have seen alot during their years and, generally, these relationships end up in a strange fizzle. My belief-as well as many others- is that there is a certain uncomfort when it comes to a sizable age spread. I feel that there is probably something missing from one or both persons that seems to make them overlook this spread. This is the component that makes parents and others nervous about these attractions. I dont know if this is right or wrong, but the nagging, persistant answer that you will keep hearing has alot to do with the under-age reality of the seventeen-year-old. ...Good luck! BB
