The sun sets and rises at the moment of every single solstice, summer and winter. You just have to be at the location on earth where it is happening. The locations are always changing because of the complicated relationship between the earth's orbital period and rotational period.
If you want to know when such things will happen where you are, you need to give a location. But even then, it may not be easy trying to determine such a thing.

∙ 12y agoThe summer solstice occurs at the moment the earth's tilt toward from the sun is at a maximum. Therefore, on the day of the summer solstice, the sun appears at its highest elevation with a noontime position that changes very little for several days before and after the summer solstice.
Well there is different temp in different months so temp varies from each other in Jun it may be 74.8 but in July it may be 78.5 but the average temp is from 74-78F

Suffice to say, around June 21st, the summer solstice, the sun will rise the farthest North (in the North-East) and set the furthest North (in the North-West).
Around December 21st, the winter solstice, replace the word "North" above with "South" and the same should hold true.
If one is far North, in the Arctic Circle, the 15 days prior to the summer solstice, and the 15 days after will not have any nighttime darkness (heavy clouds an exception).
Likewise, for the 30 days around the winter solstice, in the Arctic Circle, there will not be any significant daylight.

∙ 9y agoThe Sun rises in the east and sets in the west no matter what time of yesr it is, but is at its farthest north--on the Tropic of Cancer--during summer solstice, and farthest south--the Tropic of Capricorn--during the winter solstice. Summer solstice in the northern hemisphere is winter solstice in the southern hemisphere.
