To kill bacteria and viruses, the temperature of the core of the steak should be higher than 70° Celsius for more than 10 minutes.
Thus I suggest "Hi".
To not lose much of the moisture in the steak, you either seal the surface with a quick rise to a high temperature(best done in a pan with oil), or by putting it into aluminum foil all around.
So I suggest to use aluminium foil.
Broiling is always a high heat.
The broiling part of an oven is called the element, and it is located at the top of the oven. Be sure to leave the oven door open when using the broiler and put the oven rack up very close to the burner. The meat should be about 2 in from the heat source. DO NOT LEAVE the oven while broiling.
When cooked by overhead grilling/oven grilling/broiling there are 800 calories in a 16 oz (1 lb) T-Bone steak (lean only).
Broiling beef does not have to have the oven preheated first. Broiling entails a flame over the beef. As long as the flame is turned on ahead of time, the beef will cook.
You would top-broil in a stoves broiling drawer if it has a flame or electric heating unit above it. You can also use an electric toaster/oven/broiler with a broil setting for an overhead heating element.
In sirloin cooked by overhead grilling/oven grilling/broiling there are:530 calories in 10 oz (lean only)In sirloin pan fried there are:670 calories in an 10 oz (lean only).
yes and it is almost as good just put some spices on a steak and turnm the oven up to boil and when you hear the steak start to sizzle take it out and i prefer this way inside instead of one of those electric grills
425 for about 10-15 minutes with foil on, then broil for about two or so minutes, keeping an eye on the top to make sure it toasts just a bit but doesn't burn. Good luck!
You could put it on a metal steak plate and broil it in the oven. I would set it for about 350 check to see how it looks in order to know when to take it out. It should take about 10 minutes.
Most electric stove manufacturers will recommend that you leave the stove door open when you are broiling. Put the steaks in a broiler that has the slots, then put the shelf up high enough that the steaks are about 6 inches from the heating element.
Depends on the type of oven. If it's fan assisted, then it shouldn't matter as the temperature will be same all over the oven. If not, then it's best to use the lower plate as it will be cooler. If in doubt. Check the temperature of the different levels of the oven and compare to the recipe.
this depends on how big the steak is, how well done you like it, and weather or not you grilled or seared it before putting it in the oven. it is best to go by the temperature of the meat rather than the cooking time.
