I cut my doberman's tail when she was a few weeks old, but you should do it between 4 and 7 days for the least trauma and no anesthetic to be necessary. My rotweiller got his cut then, and it was quite easy.
Treatment time was short, and he was happy as ever.

∙ 16y agoAn Orthadontic band is placed at the end of the puppies tail at 24-96 hours old . this cuts off the blood supply to the end of the tail , which comes away within 3 days.

∙ 14y agowell it depends how humane you are you can snip of the tail with sisors or take your puppies to a vet to do proporly all i hope is that you are not running a puppy mill
