Exercise is most definitely NOT recommended on the day of removal, or even several days after removal.

One must understand that a large tooth has been ripped, yanked, pulled, possibly even drilled and sawed at in order for it to be removed. Keep in mind the several incisions to the gums, and the giant hole that gets left behind that needs to close up. Exercise will raise the heart rate and not allow blood to properly heal all the damage.

For someone who is always on the move and loves to exercise everyday, it can be hard to stay at home and rest, but rest and sleep and proper care and attention at home is NECESSARY for it to heal properly. You have to listen to your body in order to begin exercising.

For example, I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed on a monday morning, and by Friday afternoon I felt personally that I could exercise. (Just no exercise that required jerking or swinging of my head, because of pressure and slight discomfort and stiffness in my jaw). BUT, I was lucky because I had minimal swelling (I didn't even look like a chipmunk like most people look like) and I happened to heal fast.

Put simply, after about a week and a half or so of healing, or when you aren't in much pain without medication; go see your doctor and ask them if it is alright to perform exercises.

Follow your Dentist/Surgeon's instructions, first of all. Secondly, listen to your body. After a wisdom teeth removal, generally it takes a day or two for the anesthesia to completely wear off. Patients are generally tired for that amount of time. A general rule after any type of surgery is to get some rest, plus proper fluids and nutrition. Additionally, you will probably have some pain after surgery, and probably will not feel like any physical activity.

It is recommended to wait a few days before doing any kind of physical exercise following wisdom teeth extraction, in order to allow your body to heal well after the surgery.

You should avoid all kinds of strenuous physical activity for at least five days after your surgery. All patients have different pain thresholds and each is different, but it is recommended that you wait at least this long before doing heavy lifting, jogging, or strenuous work.

You shouldn't do anything strenuous (getting blood flowing fast) for 24 -48 hours, including heavy lifting. It's important for clotting to occur at the extraction sites, so also no spitting or smoking or using straws for 2 - 3 days.

Most definitely not! After an extraction the aim is to let the blood clot and heal as quick as it possibly can. If you go and do strenuous activities within 24 hours, you encourage adrenalin to run through and this causes your blood to run quicker and thinner making it difficult for the extraction site to take it's course and clot.

yes you can , but you should get 2 pulled out at a time, top and bottom and then the other two. 2 from left and 2 from right. You should rest the day of the surgery then the next day you can resume work if you dont work outside or lifting heavy things. No heat on the surgery site basically.

Just do it, although the doctor that removed your wisdom teeth clearly stated not to do any labor on account of the bleeding, and surgery. You could pass out and drop the weights on your head. Proceedi9ng to kill yourself.

My teeth are crooked and crowded because my wisdom teeth are impacted. Will my teeth go back after getting my wisdom teeth removed?

I spoke to my oral surgeon about the crowding in my lower jaw that I believed to be caused by my wisdom teeth. He said that even with the extra space I would receive from the removal of my wisdom teeth, it would be unlikely that my teeth would move back into place. There was mention of being fitted for retainers and going to a different doctor who specialized in orthodontics.
