You will have a pap smear and blood tests done at the beginning of your pregnancy to determine if you have an std. The blood test is for syphallis and HIV. The pap smear is for gonnorhea and clamydea (sorry for my terrible spelling)... They will then contact you IF you have one of these. If they did not mention it, you do not have one. If they did contact you telling you that you had one, you will be treated for it and retested after your treatment (in cases such as clamydea)... SO, you SHOULD know before you deliver your baby whether or not you have an std..Dr's will not wait until you are delivering your child to let you know as std's can be passed to your baby during child birth.
