A Maytag gas engine has become a popular antique for collectors. The gas engine was once manufactured as a washing machine engine first when Maytag produced the first generations of washers.
diesel and gasoline engines
A gas turbine engine will usually yield more power by weight than a piston engine. Main downside is that it can't be throttled very well. Energy efficiency isn't all that good to start with, and will drop right down if it has to be operated outside its optimum range.
a compressor does work on the gas , raising its pressure and temperaturea turbine does the reverse , it expands the gas as it passes through the turbine, extracting energy from the gas to do mechanical work. For a typical jet engine , the flow track on a compressor is of a converging cross section while is it diverging for the turbine, which is as per gas dynamic laws. The Turbine does two things here in the jet engine, one ,it runs the compressor and two, expands the gas to the propelling nozzle which produces thrust by accelerating the gas upto its exit.

he invented the gas engine:)
Jean Joseph Etienne Lenoir developed the internal combustion engine in 1859. He was a Belgian engineer. Etienne Lenoir developed the first single-cylinder two-stroke engine by mixing coal gas and air to ignite a 'jumping spark' ignition system.
Etienne lenior invented the gas engine.
The first gas engine was invented in 1860 by Jean-Joseph-Etienne Lenoir. I don't know if this helps.
Etienne Lenior invented the gas engine in the year of 1860. It's funny a 12 year old was the only one to answer this question.
The internal combustion engine they say that Nikolaus August Otto did but actually he didn't find out about the gas engine until he started traveling as a salesman selling sugar and silverware in Germany. As the above answer says Etienne Lenoir actually invented the first internal combustion engine in 1859. He also invented a gas engine and what was named a toilet in 1860, and a naptha fueled four cycle motorboat in 1888. Apart from these he was awarded the Legion d'honneur in 1881 for developments in telegraphy during the France-Prussian war. My sources for the answer are from family history.
he was the creator if the gas engine he taught himself chemistry and he is from france.
yes
Paris in 1860 by Entienne Lenoir. It was one-half horse, big, and heavy, but it was a gas engine.
because ge had bad gas.
in 1860, Belgian Jean Joseph Etienne Lenior developed a gas powered engine that worked similar to a steam engine but with gasoline instead of steam. this was the first engine that was produced in large numbers
Rudolph Diesel invented the diesel engine which uses diesel gas.
