Santa's Reindeer

His primary eight reindeer he received in 1822, courtesy of Clement Clarke Moore. Moore gave Santa much of his imagery in a poem he wrote for his three daughters. Rudolph joined Santa's team in 1939 when Robert L May wrote a poetic story about this beloved reindeer while working as a copywriter at a Montgomery Ward's department store.
