When did art deco start?

Answer:
Art deco was very popular in the 1920's to 1930's and it was formed soon after the first world war. It was only named in the 1960s when Bevis Hiller called the design and art of the 20s and 30s Art Deco after the 1925 Exposition des Arts Decoratifs in Paris, where the style reached its peak. There was a huge Art Deco revival from the 1960s onwards and it is still popular today.
