In the early 80s before the documentary, the Eddies were threatened with eviction due to the conditions at GG. Once the connection to Jackie was made it hit the tabloids obviously causing embarrassment. Big Eddies sons were ignoring the problem having tried for years to get mom to move. They felt this may be the was to get her out and to Florida. Although they had funds, as did other Bouvier relatives if was Jackie and Ari(mainly Ari) who paid for the clean up, new roof, heat, Plumbing and walls, pain et al. Jackie was fond of Aunt Eddie not so much Little Eddie as there was much envy of Jackie on Eddies part. Jackie's dad Black Jack Bouvier was close to Edith as was Jackie as a child.
