It actually was a dove's head. He bit it off when he was at a meeting to promote his CD. He sat on a women's lap and just bit it off.
The bat affair told by Ozzy himself, is one night at a concert, they were thr0wing plastic bats and he was baiting the heads off. Somebody from the public threw a real bat and Ozzy being haigh bit his head off.

Hi......No not 1981......It was at the Vets Aut. in Des Moines, Iowa Jan. 20th 1982 (Diary of a Madman Tour).....I was there front row and seen Ozzy bite into the Bat...He then pranced accross the stage and spit the part out!!! I got the shirt he had on when he did it and I still have it today! He threw the shirt down and the Midget (Ronnie) threw it out into the crowd and into my hands. What a show in January 1982...I will never forget it along with seeing Randy Rhodes as well...God Bless Mark from Burlington Iowa
