The question of when physics became a science is tantamount to deciding who was the first the practicing physicist. Physics considered to be the study of the interaction between matter and energy is arguably the oldest science. The classical areas of study i.e. mechanics, motion, etc., have been of interest since time immemorial. As a judgement call, it can argued that physics as a science began with Issac Newton (1642-1727) but arguments can be made for Galielo (1565-1642) as well as the early Greeks or even earlier considering the building projects of each of the world's early civilizations.
Here is a philisophical answers: technically, science began the day the very first humans looked at the sky or ocean and wondered why it was blue, or understood that fire cooks food....what i mean is, science is pretty much the all inclusive study of everything everywhere in order to seek out an explanation for why things are the way they are...so in reality, it began the first time someone wondered how/why anything is the way it is.
Science is said to have began when the earth came into being. The methods and applications of science may have started later on but science was there from the very beginning.
Galileo is credited as the founder of physics. His work began in the late 16th century.
Physics describes how the world works. So, curious people began to study that, and it became the science of Physics.
Study of matter is Physics, study of energy can be Physics or Thermodynamics
Physics is the study of matter and its motion. (Along with the study of space and time.)
Physics is the study of the laws of nature. Mathematics is the study of Numbers and shape. Mathematics is the language in which physics is written.
Physics is a subject of study and not a monarchy, it does not have a king.
the early Greeks.

When Ancient Cave man began smahing rocks .

Physics and biology are both branches of science. Biology is the study of life. Physics is the study of the forces in the world.

The study of atoms is one topic in physics, but by no means the only topic.
Physics is a subject of study and not a monarchy, it does not have a king.
Yes, and its very fun do study
physics
Physics is the study of matter and energy. People that study physics learn about how matter and energy interact with each other and how they affect each other.
