When did Shakespeare first write plays?

[Edit]
This is very difficult to determine. According to biographers, he lived from 1564 to 1616, and went to King's New School in Stratford, a grammar school. Latin, grammar and classic literature would have been in the curriculum, but we do not know if he wrote plays at school. He married in 1582 at the age of 18 and the couple had three children in the first two years of marriage. Whether or not he had the inclination or opportunity to write plays during this time, we do not know.

In due course he entered the entertainment business. He became an actor, a writer and a joint-owner of a theater company. Plays attributed to him were being performed on the stage by 1592, but llittle is known of what he did in the years between 1585 and 1592.

Working backwards from records of stage performances and from printed and dated portfolios/scripts, it seems that the play, The Comedy of Errors, may have been written sometime between the years 1589-1594. However, Henry VI (part 1) is dated to somewhere in the period 1588-1590.

Given this range of possible dates, it is difficult to be more precise as to the actual date/year when Shakespeare first wrote plays.
