ANSWER:
As for slavery in the United States, it began with the Europeans who settled in the American Colonies.
First, the Americans tried to make slaves out of the American Indians, to do the work for them. But, since the Indians were natives of America, it was no trouble for them to escape into the wilderness.
Then, there was the process for those called Indentured Servants. This was a legally bound servant, either White or Black. In return for their ship passage to America, they would sign a contract, or indenture, agreeing to work without pay for a specific period of time, usually three to five years.
When an indentured servant's time was up, he or she would enter American society with full legal rights. Upon becoming free, servants were entitled to "freedom dues." This included a suit of clothes, farming tools, and in some colonies, 50 acres of land. Nearly a third of the Europeans who came to America before the Revolution paid for their transport with temporary bondage.
In the 1640's Black slaves from Africa were brought to America. This would push the indentured servant process back with some strength. For the farmer or plantation owner realized that Black slaves would be cheaper, than having to pay the Whites the "freedom dues."
Also, the landowners knew that most all of the Black slaves would be uneducated, did not know anything about the land they were being taken to, and would live in fear of those who controlled them.
Slavery has been around for thousands of years. Slaves were seen as loot or money just as gold.
The first recorded instances of slavery date back to 1760 BC, as written in the Code of Hammurabi, a Babylonian record of law. Unfortunately, slavery seems to have began with civilization. There isn't much evidence of slavery in hunter-gatherer societies, however.
Slavery originally began with the Aztecs in the 14th Century. They would enslave other Aztecs, usually as a form of criminal punishment. The first African slaves were used by them beginning in 1519.

Slavery began the civil war
Slavery began before the United States even existed. It began as soon as man found out he could dominate over other men and make them do his bidding.
No one knows where slavery began. The institution of slavery pre-dates written history and existed in every society until the 19th century, when it began to be abolished country by country.
The Civil War did not beg. It began because of the fight of slavery or no slavery.
William Wilberforce
Abolition-was the movement to end slavery, began in the late 1700s. By 1804, most of Northern states had outlawed slavery.
In Colonial America, all colonies had slavery when the Revolutionary War began.
According to my calculations and estimations i do believe slavery began in the 18th century. indeed.
History shows that slavery began in Africa (particularly Egypt), China, and the ancient Aztec civilization.
Slavery was a debate because prior to the musings of the natural rights philosophers (John Locke, Hobbes...) people did not believe it was morally wrong to own another human being. But after people began questioning their social status, and writers began to explore the concept of equality...slavery began to be questioned as well.
Actually slavery began thousands of years ago in prehistory when they were used by ancient Romans and egyptians.
Slavery was banned when the Civil war began on on April 12, 1861, at 4:30 a.m.
