It usually takes about 28 days depending if they are fertile or not i have two ducks nesting right now and it has been about 3 days and they will not get of they pull feathers out and my two hens actually laid there eggs in the same spot so they share and both lay next to each other they do hiss and bite when you get to close this is a great experiecence for kids to experience my hens are both laying eggs from the same male which is a pekin and my hens are both different my black hen is a cayuga and my brown hen is a mallard and they are gonna have pretty little ducklings
