Female dogs go through a heat cycle, called estrus, every six months. She will have proestrus, or a bleeding cycle, before her true heat cycle during which she is very receptive to the advances of male dogs. This heat cycle lasts for several days up to three or four weeks.
Well you usally want to wait until her vigina heals and she is FULLY healed. I really hope this helps because my momma dog just had 8 PUPPIES! Two sadly died but that's just because two popped out at the SAME time, but only one twin died, and one came out like jello.
But you want to wait until her Vigina heals and she is healed so probally 1 year. This also allows the dog to fully recover from whelping and raising puppies.
If it's a dog owned by a responsible owner and is not being entered in any shows; never because she would be spayed.
But assuming your dog is registered with one club or another and you believe she has what it takes to gain a champion tittle or she has some disease that makes it a high risk to spay her at the moment; The times a female goes into heat varies on the individual. Generally, most females go into heat every 6 months. Some might only go into heat once a year, and there have been a few rare cases of females going into heat only every other year.
If she just had puppies, usually she would be back in heat only four months after giving birth. However, if you are breeding her, you should NOT breed herimmediately. You should put at least a year or two between litters to keep from over stressing her and risking her health.
They can start as young as 5 months. Generally its around 6 months of age.
Dogs mate and the puppies come out the end.
It depends on how many pups there are there may be 1 But it most likely to be two or three. boys are more likely to come
Female eggs come from the ovaries. These are the female gonads where all the eggs a women will have are produced before birth.
Puppies are carried inside the female dog's body in her uterus. The dog's uterus is located in the entire middle abdomen. Puppies may not be able to be felt at first from the outside rubbing on the abdomen. Sometimes the puppies can not be felt at all because not all dogs carry a full litter.
I'm pretty sure that her milk would be safe... I think if they come from the same family, it's fine.
Yes, it most certainly is. We had a full size collie breed our miniature poodle once. The puppies were tiny and petite at birth, much like a poodle puppy. After a few weeks however they were massive! They were born small enough for the poodle mother to have a safe healthy litter yet quickly grew to their proper size. The same would go for a male Yorkie and a female Rottweiler. The puppies would have no reason to come out small. You might get a really ugly dog!
No. No matter the first puppies mix, when you breed it again with the other pit bull, the other puppies will come out good.
Dogs are mammals and are born live.
I've never heard of 2 male dogs mating one female at the same time... however it is my understanding that should a female mate with 2 different dogs during her heat it is possible that she could have puppies to both dogs, meaning her one litter of puppies could have different fathers
they could make black puppies, chocolate puppies and maybe even golden puppies if they are lucky because my golden labrador and my another golden one made 6 golden puppies and 1 black!
At home, no - this would be illegal and you would risk killing your dog. If your female dog has recently come out of heat and was bred by a male dog, your veterinarian can administer a "mis-mating" shot (basically high-dose progesterone, or birth control) that should keep her from carrying any puppies. However, if your female is already confirmed pregnant, the most a veterinarian can do is spay your female, during which the fetal puppies are terminated. If you absolutely need a single litter aborted, but the female left intact, you will need to contact a veterinary theriogenologist for assistance - this is going to be an expensive and risky surgery.
