Around 4 to 5 months of age, puppies will start to lose their "baby teeth" and their permanent teeth begin to grow in. Puppies lose their teeth in a specific order: first the smaller front teeth come out, then the premolars, molars and finally the canine teeth come out. Most of the time teeth fall out while eating/playing/etc so they are often swallowed.

Some Pomeranians begin the process of losing their puppy teeth at 7 to 8 months of age. Often the puppy teeth of Pomeranians don't fall out naturally, sometimes extraction is needed to prevent compaction as adult teeth try to emerge.

at about 4 to 5 months

Between the ages of three months and seven months, a puppy begins to lose its deciduous, or baby teeth. By seven to eight months, the full set of adult teeth should have come in (42 in total).

Retained baby teeth can be a problem, sometimes the permanent teeth come in and the baby teeth do not fall out. If your dog still has any baby teeth after 8 months of age, it should be examined by a veterinarian. If they are not extracted, food and debris can be caught between the teeth, leading to early decay, tooth loss or gum disease. The bite may be affected, thereby affecting the other teeth and gums.
