no, the taste will taste bad. the potato might taste like the carrot or the other way around
Inexpensive but faro in a slow cooker. Add I PAC liptons onion soup mix and cover with water. U can add small tarred and carrots. Um yum yum.
To roast, potato, Dutch (baby) carrots, parsnip, onion and whole garlic cloves! Add some lemon and Rosemary for extra flavour!!
First, brown the roast on all sides in a skillet set on medium heat with just enough oil to cover the bottom... 2 to 3 minutes per side should do... Place roast, veggies, and seasonings in crock pot... Layer veggies first (potatoes, carrots, then celery), set the roast on top. Add just enough liquid to cover the roast, set to high, then cook 9-10 hours... Best to let it cook overnight, then set to low to keep until lunch, or start in early morning for dinner.
Yes you can; or at least, you can simmer a pot roast. If you actually boiled it, you'd end up with something inedible.Don't cover the roast in water, only about half way. Simmer for about 45 minutes, add onions, potatoes, carrots, celery and simmer for about another hour. Great one pot meal!
Place in a small baking pan, add water to cover the bottom of the pan. Slow cook it at 250-270 degrees for several hours covered. Once the meat has reached 135-155 internal temp or until desired coloring. I would recommend doing a simple dry rub on the roast before cooking. Even add some veggies like carrots, potatoes or onions. They will release juices as they cook as well as add a great flavor to the end product.
Roasting timesPreheat your oven to 160°C (325°F) and use these cooking times to prepare a roast that's moist, tender and delicious.Your roast should be covered with foil for the first half of the roasting time. 5 to 7 lb pork loin 2 to 2½ hours Tips for a better roast. For extra flavour you can add optional vegetables such as carrots, parsnips, onions and celery to your roasting pan, and roast the meat 'on a bed' of veg. The veg also helps to keep the roast off the bottom of the roasting pan so it doesn't 'stew' in its own juices.
