By about 4 months old, its typical for an infant to be rolling from front to back on their own. Remember though, each child is an individual, with individual developmental schedules. Discuss any questions you may have about delayed development with your pediatrician.

Usually around 6-10 months. The average is 8 months, although some babies don't ever crawl, they roll or scoot along on their butt instead. This is still normal and does not indicate there is a problem as long as development is normal in every other way, and they are taking an interest in moving around to see the world around them and get to things. I have heard of babies crawling around 5.5 months but this is probably very rare!

On average, babies start to crawl at around six months of age or more. However, do not worry if your baby does not start to crawl. Some babies (such as my daughter, when she was a baby) go straight to walking and do not learn to crawl.
