At 5 weeks 5 days I had no fetal pole detected, just an empty sac. I had the same at 7.0 weeks. However, at 7.5 days a fetal pole and heartbeat could be seen. From talking to friends during the "waiting" time, it appears that most women do not see a fetal pole until about 6 weeks minimum.

There are findings of a bicornuate uterus there does appear to be some fluid within each horn of the uterus there is a gestational sac at age 5week's 1 day a small yolk sac no fetal pole is this norma?
Yes very normal. Give it two weeks and you should be able to see for yourself that it will be a normal pregnancy.

I'm at 6 week and 4 day, the fetal heartbeat was 114, and my doctor said that normal, so don't worry & get relax.

This is not going to be much comfort- I experienced a simiar episode and am now at 5.5 weeks with a repeat episode. My last pregnancy my levels were 3400 ish and only increased to 4700 ish someweeks later. I was told that levels that do not double at least every 72 hours are not promising. ometimes At 5 weeks and almost always by 6 weeks you should see a gestational sac, yolk sac and fetal pole with electrical activity about 80 to 125 beats. That's what I remember from my Drs apt. There are others with positive outcomes. at 6 weeks the levels can range from 200 to 150000. Good luck I m hoping it works out for you. Pregnancy dates are determined by the first day of your last period. This adds at least 2 weeks to the actual fetal age. Another determining factor is when you ovulated/actually got pregnant. Some women ovulate later in their cycle resulting in a lower actual fetal age.

HI! It just so happens I had an ultrasound at 6 1/2 weeks no fetal pole (done transvaginally) and just today they found a baby with heartbeat at at 7 weeks 1 day. I spent days worrying however after doing much research on the internet, from other women going through the same experience, sometimes it can't be detected till after 8 weeks because it's so small. I did have some minor spotting too which the doctor said wasn't anything to worry about however I think that you should pray and wait it out until the next visit. If you haven't showed any signs of a miscarriage (bleeding or loss of pregnancy symptoms) chances are everything will be fine in your other scan. Other instances could involve blighted ovums or molar pregnancy however your chances seem pretty good. Best of Luck!
