Nashville Star is a reality television program. Its sixth season will be broadcast on NBC in the United States, following five seasons on USA Network. It premiered on March 8, 2003, and its five seasons on USA made it the longest-running competition series on Cable Television [1]. A sixth season will air beginning in June 2008 on its new network, NBC [2], with Billy Ray Cyrus as host [3]. New judges will be announced at a later date. In Canada, the show has aired on CMT.

I really enjoyed season 5 of Nashville Star!!! The Hacker's and other Contestants were really down to earth!! It is very important to hear this in their songs; their life experiences and challenges as we all have them!!! Jewell was by far the best Hostess for this show. She really went to bat for the Contestants and stood her ground with the Judges. Looking forward to another season!!!

∙ 16y agoI heard that Nashville Star will be airing on NBC in summer 2008...that is all I know, they will probably announce a specific date in late spring!
