Kyoto entertainment announced that they have canceled making season 2 and replaced it with a new show
march 2008
yes
Yes,there are 28 episodes in 'The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya' and there are 14 episodes per season.
The second season of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is...the second series of the show? On some anime watching websites (like animefreak.tv) say it as The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya even though there is a different movie called the same name.
It's Ready!
It has actually already come out. It's called 'The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzimaya.'
Yes
Season 2 is weaved into Season 1, having several Episodes before Season 1 Main Plot and several after it. It consists roughly of three arcs, of which one is necesary for 'The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya' and quite good, whereas the second one is very experimental and not very popular among casual watchers and the third is about the group filming episode 0.
Some popular romantic comedy anime series include "Toradora!", "Ouran High School Host Club", "Kaguya-sama: Love is War", "Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun", and "Nisekoi: False Love". These shows blend elements of romance, comedy, and often slice-of-life to create heartwarming and humorous stories.
It's out right now
They are currently still subbing the new Haruhi eps. Since it's such a popular series I'm sure it will be licensed very soon after the subbing is done.
According to http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2010-01-25/new-video-mentions-2nd-haruhi-season-license and http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2010-02-09/haruhi-film-in-top-10-with-estimated-100-million-yen Bandai Entertainment has licensed the second season of the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and it will be released sometime this year in one complete collection. Exact date unknown. Except there is a rumor saying it will come in august on the 24th.
I wouldn't call what Kyo-Ani has done with the series thus-far "trolling". I think it's incredibly myopic and self-centered to assume that the vision of the artist should always coincide with the expectations of the viewer. However, regardless of how you feel about what they did with "Endless 8" in the second season, a lot of people were put off by it. If that frustration translates to poor DVD sales, the chances that Haruhi will get a season 3 might not be so great. That all having been said, nobody really knows at this point. As was the case leading up to Season 2, we'll just have to wait and see. I know that's not much of an answer, but as it stands, that's the best you're likely to get. there most likely will be now :) thx to the fansite and them going there consetly they will now most likely moke another season about 70/30 chance. With the release of the "Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya" movie and its great success I wouldn't doubt that they would continue making anime episodes based off the Light Novels that are still being released every so often, the 10th being the most recent. There is still a lot of the story to tell considering the Haruhi movie and past 2 seasons of 26 episodes which use the stories from the first 5 novels out of the 10 total released ATM (possible continuation from 11 onwards). My best guesses are some time in 2012 (that's a guess if its even released at all)
