The episode number for the ENGLISH version is number 80. The episode number for the JAPANESE version is 95.

∙ 14y agoWhile in the Time Chamber at Kame's Gohan and Goku train to defeat Cell. During training Gohan is determined to become a Super Saiyan so Goku pushes him, telling Gohan to use to his feeling of loss to push his limit. Then Gohan becomes a Super Saiyan in episode 160 of Dragon Ball Z.

∙ 13y agoThey show Goten going Super Sayin first when he first trained with Gohan. However, Goten actually was able to go Super Sayin way before that and even showed his mom but they don't show that although they do say it.

It was after he attacked Freiza with the Spirit Bomb, Frieza was pissed and killed Krillen which enraged Goku and became the catalyst for his transformation. Goku later trained to control his SSJ transfornation on Yardrat, where he also learned Instantaneous Movment (Instant Transmission).

∙ 13y agoGoku turns into a ss2 when he is training in the hyperbolic time chamber with his son Gohan (who is just a kid). He eventually does it when Gohan is asleep and Goku was training alone.

When did Goku first transform into super saiyan 2?
When he was in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber training to beat Cell. I think he became Super Saiyan 2 after he died to save the world from Cell. If Goku could turn Super Saiyan 2 he would have beaten Cell himself, instead of making ohan fight him.
