No. A paraffin test gathers evidence, it is not interrogation.
In the US, there is no limit of time allowed for interrogation without a lawyer. However, if the defendant asserts their Miranda rights, and requests an attorney, the interrogation must stop until he/she is given the opportunity to speak with one.
If you have been accused of any crime then in most countries of the world you can and should get a lawyer.

The Miranda rights guaranteed that an individuals' rights would be protected even when he was accused of a crime. Before this many suspects were unsure of their rights. They would say things they didn't mean because they thought it would stop the interrogation or they didn't know they could get a lawyer.
