Ovulation is usually 14 days AFTER your period, if you have a 28 day cycle. Always calculate fertile days to start 8-10 days after period and last for about one week. So if you want to get pregnant, aim at days 10-17 after period. If you don't want to get pregnant, use protection during these days. (FYI: Check for white discharge. It's a signal that you are in FERTILITY phase).

∙ 15y agoFor those with a regular period, ovulation normally occurs on day 14 of the cycle with day 1 being the first day of bleeding. This is not an exact science, but merely an estimation. Ovulation can occur during other days of the cycle especially if the period is irregular.

During the average 28 day cycle a woman will typically ovulate somewhere between days 12-16, 14 days before menstruation, but unless you track your cycles you can't be sure when you ovulate.
